I received a tip there's a scammer pretending to be a real employee of Accenture, Molly Grier. Molly isn’t a scammer, but the one using the email hrmolly.accenture@gmail.com certainly is one. The Case Concerning the Accenture Imposter… Scammer: “We don’t reach out to just anyone.” 🎁 Job seeker: “Can we talk on the phone about the role?” 📞 Scammer: “There was something in you that matched the kind of talent we value.” 🌹 Job seeker: “Can we talk on the phone about the role?” 📞 Scammer: “…Opportunities like this don’t always come around twice.” 🤩 Job seeker: “Can we talk on the phone about the role?” 📞 Scammer: 🏃🏾➡👻 Had the scammer decided to call the job seeker it would’ve gone like this: Job seeker: “Hi! How are you?” Scammer: Clears throat “Go America! 🔴⚪🔵” Job seeker: “That ACCENT…YOU’RE a scammer!” Badumtsss 🥁 *Call ends* 📵 This is exactly like the Artisan Talent Imposter case from months ago where those scammers pretended to be a real employee and made “job offers” that were fake. The screenshots of the emails sent to this job seeker are in the images. Email and name of job seeker redacted for privacy. Here are quick tips to verify a job/recruiter is real. 1⃣ Their email matches the company’s format 2⃣ Accenture email format: First.Last@accenture.com | (ex. John.Doe@accenture.com) 3⃣ They don’t mind getting on a phone/video call 4⃣ Their emails are professional sounding not TRYING to sound professional 5⃣ Job description is easily found, has a req/job id # and a contact attached Stay vigilant.
