Over 70 aged profiles, all hijacked. Premium members paying to scam you. Deloitte, Manpower, your companies are under attack.
I received a tip about a week ago. The person told me three accounts sent scam messages, but I had a gut feeling there were more than three. Unfortunately, there were.
A lot more.

The deception is evolving. Before, scammers only wanted to connect with legit professionals so they could appear to be a trustworthy account. After my work and that of others, this becomes a less viable approach.
Now, they’re making profiles and initiating contact with real professionals to gain “referrals” so they can scam people in their networks.
Most of the hijacked profiles are aged ones, hence why I put on the cover image of this case, “THE AGE OF DECEIT...” The word is out more and more that new accounts are suspicious and now, scammers are pivoting.
They know you’d trust an account with history and quality connections. They are also planning on using these accounts to reach out to job seekers and executive/senior HR professionals.
The first three in this case were doing this until I took them down. The other 70+ profiles are all waiting to be deployed against you.
Deloitte (the primary company targeted) is an established, respected company and these scammers are using it to build trust with those who see its logo on the profiles. They're partial to Pennsylvania but don’t average more than 80 connections.
Alarmingly, there are many premium accounts.
Why is this series of cases called “Scale? It’s for a few reasons.
1⃣ The magnitude of the deceit.
2⃣ Snakes (scammers in this instance) have scales.
3⃣ The scales of justice are blind. No preferential treatment, the truth is the truth.
Yet, a blind eye's (not by Deloitte or Manpower) turned to this while people’s lives fall apart. I can’t look away. The cost is too great. I’ve been at this since December of 2023.
I’ll stop when they stop.
